Who We Are

The Volunteer’s Social Welfare Organization (VSWO) is a Non-governmental, non-sectarian and non-political, people-interest organization and registered under Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies (Registration and Control) Ordinance 1961 vide Certificate of Registration of NGO # DDSW/RWP/98, 0696, 1998, situated at Rawalpindi, Punjab, Pakistan. VSWO has emerged with the aim to offer innovative solutions to remove the various taboos and obstacles in the way of development regarding human rights, socio-economic, demographic, and environmental and health problems from the society. It is providing services for research to find out the root causes of the issues and methodology for effective implementation of remedial measures by launching various projects, which will help enhance the living standard of a common man in the society.

The Volunteers Social Welfare Organization (VSWO), have number of qualified and experienced professionals, which are equipped with the modern techniques of social development, are engaged with VSWO for various projects/studies. We understand that human capital is the main source for the development of any organization. We respect all those who are working anywhere in the society for the welfare of humanity. VSWO is also equipped with highly qualified, experienced and willing to work for the welfare of humanity without discrimination of economic, religious, political and regional affiliation. An important aim of VSWO is to conduct various studies to trace out the various problems and obstacles in the society. On the basis of these studies, VSWO will be able to suggest the possible solutions.

VSWO areas of endeavors are Skill Development, Health, Education, Environment, Poverty Alleviation, Human Rights, Research, Agriculture, Drug Abuse Prevention Program and Emergency Response. Our working methodology is based on involving all the stakeholders to plan and to act. For this, we undertake base line survey, need assessment, budgeting, effective monitoring and evaluation.

  • To create awareness about civic and human rights to realize the objective of human centered development.
  • To mobilize communities and harness community power for socio-economic development.
  • To increase understanding amongst government’s line departments and community organizations through establishing development linkages.
  • To build institutional capacity within target communities for effective and efficient service delivery on sustainable basis and ability to utilize government’s more effectively and efficiently.
  • To improve health and education facilities in rural areas and create awareness about deadly and communicable diseases like Hepatitis, HIV/AIDS, etc.
  • To promote community organizations (COs) to pool and develop local resources for collective and self-sustaining actions.
  • To eliminate environmental hazards, drugs addiction and identify its hazards and prevention.
  • To spread IT education and gender discrimination in the less developed parts of the country for an equitable social order.
  • To conduct surveys and studies for providing basis for evidence-led planning of development programmes at national and local level.
  • To undertake systematic research for designing and implementing projects to achieve the goals set forth in the National Plans of Action as well as commitments made by the Government of Pakistan at international fora.
  • To promote efficient use of water for agriculture, livestock, people, and industry.
  • To provide technical and consultancy services to government / non-government organizations, institutions, agencies and departments at all levels.
  • To promote social development activities through discussions, seminars, conferences, debates and round table dialogues.
  • To work for reduction of poverty and protection of consumer rights.
